  7.           This is a fairly simple modification that can be made to any phone.
  8. All it does is allow you to take any 2 lines in your house and create a party
  9. line. So far I have not heard of any problems with it from my friends that
  10. have set one up and I have not had any either. There is one thing that you
  11. will notice when you are one of the two people who is called by a person with
  12. this box. The other person will sound a little bit faint.  I could overcome
  13. this with some amplifiers but then there wouldn't be very many of these boxes
  14. made. I think that the convenience of having two people on line at any one
  15. time will make up for the minor volume loss.

  48.            In some houses the black and yellow are already wired in others
  49. you will have to go out to your box and rewire it. A good way to figure out
  50. which line is which is to take the phone you are looking for off the hook.
  51. Then you only need to take the red and green wires entering your phone and
  52. hook them to the different pairs of red and green going into the house.  You
  53. can't hurt anything in the phone or telephone by probeing.  When you find the
  54. pair that you want take the black from your line and attach it to the red of
  55. the other line then take the yellow and attach it to the green line.  Now you
  56. are all set to go.  For people with rotary phones you can have one person
  57. call you then place the second call out to the other person. Though not
  58. phreakers tool, the brown box can be phun.
